Who We Are

MUSICIANS HEARING SOLUTIONS®

Our boutique private practice was formed by Dr. Julie Glick in New York City in 2010 and has since moved to Los Angeles in 2017.  Dr. Glick's inspiration to create Musicians Hearing Solutions® stemmed from her recognition that musicians and audio enthusiasts deserved the opportunity to decide for themselves, along with her expert guidance, what type of sound quality and hearing protection is most appropriate based on their unique listening needs and preferences.

Whether you are using in-ear monitors as a tool in live performances to hear your performance more accurately and at lower levels and/or are looking for a pair of custom earphones to travel with or wear on a daily basis with your music player, the staff at Musicians Hearing Solutions® will help you decide what the right products are for you by learning an in depth history of your listening environments, needs and budget.

Being Los Angeles's foremost audiology practice specializing in working with musicians and hi-fidelity audio, we also have on hand demonstration models of all in-ear monitors that we carry which will enable you to spend time listening to the sound signature of the products you are interested in before they are customized.

Dr. Glick also offers Zoom or phone call consultations for In-Ear Monitors.  If you'd like to learn more please contact us at info@musicandhearing.com.

DR. JULIE GLICK, Au.D., F-AAA

Dr. Glick was first introduced to custom in-ear monitors and musicians earplugs twenty seven years ago when she started her career in a private audiology practice in Beverly Hills, California and is thrilled to have come full circle back to where she began after accumulating a myriad of unique experiences within the audiology and music industries. Her passion for music and commitment to the field of audiology led her to recognize that the optimization of the live performances of musicians and hearing conservation was a niche she wanted to be involved in from the very beginning. Over the past twenty seven years, Julie has spent invaluable time with monitor / sound engineers and has been backstage and in rehearsal studios with musicians of all genres.  She has also worked as an audiologist for two years at Sensaphonics Hearing Conservation in Chicago as well as a regional representative for a major hearing aid company.  Through all of these experiences, she has gained great insight and appreciation for all the technical details that go into live musical performances and how important hearing and hearing conservation is to not only musicians but to the fans as well. Dr. Glick's knowledge and technical expertise of sound, hearing and hearing conservation make her a valuable asset to the music community and for those who are looking to achieve the best sound quality to optimize their hearing in general.

Dr. Glick received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Science from The Ohio State University, Master of Science in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Northridge and Doctor of Audiology from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology. Dr. Glick is a licensed Audiologist and licensed Hearing Instrument Dispenser in the states of California and New York, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
